About Commercial Ducting

Although Commercial Ducting was founded in 2016 our knowledge goes back to 1995, starting in the workshop where all of our apprentices start, learning how to mark out and cut shapes, fold and bend, and knock together, before moving on to on-site work, pairing up with experienced fitters.

Our fitters are trained to work in accordance with HVAC specification DW144 third edition, hold a minimum of a blue CSCS card and be qualified to a minimum standard of level 2 NVQ in heating and ventilation, although most hold a level 3. Our engineers are fully trained to install Smoke and Fire Rated Systems to British Standards BS 476, European Standards EN 1366 and International Standards ISO6944.

Our team are specialists in design and build. Our expertise are invaluable on projects where you may not have existing drawings to work from and conducting site surveys to produce working drawings is problematic, such as one of our recent projects at the Southend Hospital A&E department where solid ceilings could not be opened up and the building for obvious reasons could not be closed.

We supply and install all types of ventilation systems. From low velocity to high velocity air systems, from small HRU’s to large AHU’s that need crane lifting and bolting together.

At Commercial Ducting our focus is on providing a quality, snag-free, ductwork installation. We have the experience to overcome any issues that will inevitability arise on your project. Having our own workshop means our fitters can measure items on the day and have them delivered the following day. This is crucial when working to resolve issues that need a quick turnaround, like one of our more sensitive projects such as the live upgrade of the ventilation systems at Southend A&E and Critical Care Unit.
